In any case, very sad. I still remember reading "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" for the first time and thinking it was the greatest thing ever written. Poor man.

Wow indeed... I never thought he'd go like that.
Thought it would be a car smash when he's drunk or
possibly accidentally shooting himself when he's off
his head. Ah well. As you say, I hope he did it
