i was wondering if this was the case but i think it's a bit different now.  My mum listens to Val Doonican or something, not exactly what I grew up listening to.
 
Music today is just pick a genre and add 'pop' to it, find the appropriate hairstyle and you're sorted.  It's all a bit uninspiring.  does any of it have the invention, passion and attitude of early Killing Joke?  no! 
 
but then again the same applies to KJ2003.

I quite agree with you, mate...
My explaination is that there's nothing much better that now...

Block party, futureheads, dogs die in hot cars...seem to be the bollocks if you read the music mags but in reality they are mere clones of somebody else
