My view (if anyone cares) . . 

Yes, a lot of these bands are derivative . . BUT . . think about what you
would rather hear, Franz Ferdinand sounding like a lot of bands you like or
Westlife beating the shit out of another cover version

It's all a matter of perspective isn't it

Anyway, The Futureheads cover of Hounds Of Love is brilliant (IMHO)
