If 1919 can do it to Killing Joke, Interpol can do it to Joy Divison, etc, 
etc, etc etc.

That is fine

You can compare it to this (now old) Black Sabbath surgence/reunion.  When I 
was growing up they were kind of laughed at except by those in the know.  
Now, for a while, they were the big deal to everyone.  Whatever.  If the 
young bands want to pay homage to the heroes of the past that is fine.  
Everyone wins...and loses
