Of their ilk, I much prefer the Futureheads, but I see/hear nothing 
wrong with Franz Ferdinand. I mean, no, they're not original in the 
slightest, but if they're going to be derivative, at least they're 
cribbing notes from a period of music which wasn't so lucratively 
celebrated the first time around.

What's more -- THEY PLAY ROCK! With guitars. No hip-hop, no teen pop, 
no choreography involved. I'm happy to see them enjoy success. Better 
them than fuckin' Maroon 5 or fuckin' Kanye West.
