APB?! Does anyone outside of New York know who they are? I don't know how
many times I saw them. Usually at the old Ritz in New York, and at a couple
clubs on Long Island, where the bouncers would become so confounded by
moshing they'd rush to the front of the stage and pull us apart as if there
was a fight going on, then threaten to throw us out. I even saw Fishbone
(one of THE greatest bands of all time) open for them once.

As we understood it after time, New York and Long Island were the only
places on earth where APB were popular, including in their homeland of
Scotland. Any global gatherers want to weigh in? And why did it have to
rain today?

And, to bolster Alex's list, Gary Moore also does an Over The Hills And Far
Away.

Yeah, I have an APB compilation that I fuckin' love. Always a poor
man's Gang of Four (and that's being exceptionally kind), but they had
some great singles, notably "Shoot You Down". Great crackly sound to
that record.

Cheers,
Alex in NYC
