[kj] aftershow drunken chat!

After my wifes initial comment of a thong - for her or me?
I'm not sure!
we came up with a long sleeved t - particularly as the tour is in Oct.
Perhaps small logo front and large logo back or at the cuff (my sons got a great World Industries long sleeve t which has logo's on one cuff and in the opposite armpit!).
Also - would prefer something other than black and perhaps other than white.
Perhaps a hooded long sleeve shirt rather than heavyweight hoody (or did people stop wearing those 10 years ago?)

   What happened last night?

Well, first of all we bumped into the Jester himself and chatted with him and Raven. Jester really is a very gentle kind man who was genuinely totally fecking stunned by what was going on around him.
Hung around for a bit and then popped to the Enterprise, walking down with Jaz etc as he cuddled Joe all the way down the street (ahhhhhhhhhhhh).

Bumped into the usual reprobates. Brian, you were sober when I first saw you (more on that later). Chapman and I compared dodgy things on our phones and Bob Barathy looked just like Julian Cope circa St Julian (albeit with dark hair).

Back to the Barfly, chats and then 45 minutes upstairs waiting...............

Finally the band came on. Can't remember all the songs but nothing new. Wardance, Primitive, Sun goes Down, Asteroid, The Wait, Darkness before, Frenzy etc etc. They played with fury. Jaz was very funny and amusing and was having a whale of a time, Jester was up on the stage again, totally bewildered, a guy got on the stage and got well and trulty twatted by Raven who then looked like he would kill for 20 minutes. Pete West did indeed launch in and it was quite a spectacle. Points to Pete for having the guts and conviction to argue (but we have a differing point of view).

  Other highlights?

  Mal Spoor's trousers falling down!
  Woody in a trance.
Jamie trying to pull me into the throng
  Jester's stage dive
A totally pissed Brian at the end of the night walking the wrong way down the road, doubling back and managing to convey to Jerry and I that he had to get to Victoria by 1. It seems he made it.
  Seeing all the family

Geordie looks very thin - one month off the booze and he looks like he needs a good meal. He told me that he has a new lease of life and seems good.

Honestly? Killing Joke look like they are having fun and really enjoying it. None of the dark menace that used to prevail. It was a great night, no new songs but we knew that.

And Jester was there. That was what it was all about.
This week is a big week for him. All his treatment starts and that is goning to be very tough but I think that he got a lot of love yesteday and I hope that helps him in the coming days.

  Well, that's it for now.

  Back to pretending to work!
