"But anyway Peter, you only referred to one of the points in my post"

****Guilty:The other points I need to think about,The coal walking one was
easiest one and I had an answer, thats why I choose it.****

"But somewhere along the line we change and become in general afraid to
risk. When does that happen? "

*** I would say that we stop taking risks, when we begin to realise the
consequences of our actions. Some youngsters are fearless,But once they ve
been run-over ,beaten up or given detentions a few times.Rational thinking
replaces the fearless factor.
Fear is important and necessary.Children must learn that traffic ,trains
,fire Ect Ect are all dangerous and should be feared****

Was Jim Morrison right when he used the analogy that we need to kill
 our parents?

*******That is going a bit far,It would be better to show your parents where
they are going wrong and change their perception ,rather than kill them.I
would say that you get to a stage in your development ,when you disregard
what your parents taught you and you become your own person. So its not
necessary to kill them**************

Do you accept that people have made points that have challenged your
original statement that symbolism is dead and merely a method of profit
making?

*******What I was originally saying was:Why use symbolism when words are a
better way of projecting what you mean. And thats still my
opinion************

"not the poor self loathing numbskull that some of them have been told they
are"

***** Was you referring to me,Or am I getting paranoid?:-)*******-
