Cooking Vinyl goes it alone in US
29 March 2005 - 14:34:26

Cooking Vinyl, home to Frank Black (pictured) and Echo And The Bunnymen,
is to enter the US market as a standalone independent label after
signing a deal with a Stateside distributor.

The deal means Cooking Vinyl's full North American catalogue will be
distributed by Koch Entertainment Distribution. Cooking Vinyl will also
establish its own offices in New York.

Forthcoming releases include albums by Echo & The Bunnymen, Killing
Joke, Richard Thompson and The Church. Other acts on its roster include
Frank Black and Hanson.

The new division will operate as Cooking Vinyl USA LLC. Its CEO Jeremy
Morrison says, "I am very pleased to be partnering with Koch for the
launch of our new label. I look forward to working and continuing my
relationship with Michael Rosenberg and all my friends and colleagues at
Koch Entertainment Distribution."
