People can call themselves anything. Hitler called himself a National 
"Socialist" (that's what Nazi stands for). Think of all the people who call 
themselves Christians (or Muslims, or whatever) but who act and think in ways that go 
against most tenets of their religion. The US communist party supports Kerry in 
the election, and the Iraqi CP works in the US coalition government. Get the 
point? Again, Pol Pot doesn't stand for most of the things that most 
communists believe. But then again, the Cold War has brainwashed so many people that 
facts don't mean a thing to them.
