I think of religion as an ancient Health & Efficiency or Men's Health -
guides on how to live well, but with a bit of an impetus in that sin will
get you to hell...

Very easy to blame everything on this myhtical beast called 'Society' 

People thought up religion as a crutch when they were feeling insecure 
and confused. It benefited them then. Most people still worship 
something in some way. Whether it be Jesus, Muhammad or Man United. 

I can understand it to a certain degree; Christmas being seen as a 
Christian Festival and one of the social highlights involving a group 
called The Damned. For some simple types it may seem like another sign 
that society is slipping into the abyss. For me I just see it as a 
bringing together and a celebration of campness in all it's cheesiness.
