RE: [kj] History lesson for Jonny Bongo

RE;Without looking, I don't know, but I'm sure Abbos have equally impressive
abilities

To start with ;Abbos is a derogatory and offensive name; It's on par with the terms nigger, paki and welsh,so please don't use it again. I'm afraid aborigines have done nothing to contribute to the progression of the human race.Chinese gave us big walls and nice food.Greeks gave us Pythagoras theory and the Olympics.Romans gave us roads.Africans gave us drums.America gave us movies and cola-cola.Middle east gave us oil and religion while south America gave us marching powder and revolutionaries. And how did the aborigines help? They gave us a rock which turns red at sunset(BTW It was turning red long before the Aborigines got there,And it will be turning red long after they have gone ).People go on about their art.I think its rubbish, just lines and dots

P.S. I would like to finish this thread here ,Otherwise people will get pissed off and try to get my arse kicked off the board .Cheers

This really is getting pants, but here's my tuppence-worth Peter:

Ayres rock looks 4kin cool as it is. Doesn't it go red at sunsets or
whatever? That would be pretty impressive to most people, so go back
a few thousand years & it must've been INCREDIBLE to the local people.

So, are you arguing that Abbos are unsophisticated & aren't interested
in technological advance, etc. Are you saying that just because they
don't seem to have been as technically advanced as the Egyptians, for
instance, that they're unworthy of respect or something?

What is it you're actually trying to say matey?

Without looking, I don't know, but I'm sure Abbos have equally impressive
abilities (what with them being humans) in a different field. I've always
thought survival in the outback was a pretty impressive feat - I would'nt
  last five minutes...

The base material of the Pyramids is rock,Chopped up ,shaped and
re-assembled to make a Pyramid. To leave the rock in its original form and
call it"significant" is on par with the so called modern art down at the
Tate modern. i.e.a blank piece of canvas ,which The Guardian readers look at
in awe and say something like"The poignancy is tangible".
Like if you brought a re-mix album, and it was exactly the same as the
original. You would nt say"this is really good".Would ya?
