yes, tim, that smug bugger was the one i had in mind. talking about the 
criminal justice act, i suspect. although leigh's answer is also a good one, 
i just hadn't thought of it. (and i doubt kj got copyright permission in 
either case but i could be wrong.)

i'm not surprise dr alex has got an MD clock, listening to his kj remix you 
start to feel like the clock keeps going backwards by a few minutes!

but are MD clocks the only ebay auctions where the deadline gets further 
away?

the "second-hand" really moves quite fast but i'd never thought of that...!
