Little blurry round the edges now, but I remember being in town most of
a day with me mate Paudge, bummin' around as was our want in them days,
we would have been approx. 14/15ish at time and pUnK was still in it's
infancy, in Dublin anyway. Corduroy Fred had a record shop, Advance
records, up on North Kings street, round the back of the Dandelion
Market. Anyway bored and cold we bought the album and went back to his
and played the thing solid. Requiem stood out from the start, and I know
soon after I got what I am near sure was a 10" single of Requiem, don't
have it now so can't check, but can still hear it, as it was possibly
played over countless hundreds of times, till I got Wardnace/Pssyche,
with the later being still one of my favourite songs to this day.
Ah the good old days, happy days, filled with hate, uncertainty and
cider.
Coincidently I was with Paudge today.
