[kj] (ot) Any questions for Wayne ?

Oh poor Wayne. I used to be a *HUGE* fan of the Mission back in college
(circa GOD'S OWN MEDICINE) but they never really lived up to the myth
(or at least their records certainly never did). I interviewed Wayne a
couple of times (once upon the release of CARVED IN SAND and again upon
the release of the roundly derided and unduly maligned MASQUE....which
Jaz appears on, by the way) and he couldn't have been a nicer gent.
Their "resurrection" tour a couple of years back (with only Craig from
the original line-up having actually returned) was great fun, but then
I gather it all fell apart again. History has seemingly erased their
music in the same way that no one plays Mr.Mister or the Outfield
anymore (although thank fucking Christ for that).

I still adore all their singles up through "Beyond the Pale," though,
however silly and histrionic, and they could be a ferociouis live
band....if they were properly drunk and drugged up enough.

So, really, no questions for Wayne. Just buy him a drink for me.
