yes, i agree, todd, it's a shame that one never won its place in the regular 
set list. then again, you could say that about quite a few tracks. certainly 
concur with those people saying REVELATIONS is being neglected.

as you mentioned recently, '84 was the time when geordie's sound was at it's 
best (for fans of that particular style, at least) but how would you 
describe the new sound he's using? for me there seems to be a scratchier, 
brash quality as opposed to the smoother, multi-harmonic tone of the classic 
era. what do you (or anybody else) think? i'm not sure i'm that keen on it 
to be honest but at least he's exploring new ideas and it does work on some 
of the new tracks, just not ideal for a whole set.

concerning the 'lanterns of dope' bootleg - yes, that's the amsterdam 
soundboard one from '96. good quality recording but poor playing. very rare 
to hear KJ so sloppy, must have really been caned. only a couple of 
'democracy' tracks on there.
