Sounds worth checking out (though now that Peg's got a bun in the oven, her
tolerance for my nights out with the boys is weakening). I'll see if I can
swing it, though.

I've only seen NMA once, and they put on a fucking amazing set. Justin is a
criminally unheralded songwriter, I find.

Hi Alex, It's definitely worth checking out. The set they do in the trimmed
down band is usually longer, more varied and imo more interesting than the
regular full band set, (and is sometimes split into 2 sets with an
interval). Here's a couple of setlists from similar format shows last year,
but who knows, they may well play any of the songs you list, just not quite
as "full-on" without the rhythm section, and I wouldn't expect a lively
mosh-pit!!

Liverpool - June 2002

Changing Of The Light / One Bullet / Stoned, Fired And Full Of Grace / Turn
Away / Home / Tales Of The Road / Heroes / Headlights / Ballad Of Bodmin
Pill / Refugee / Snelsmore Wood / You Weren't There / The Attack / Marrakes=
h
/ Stranger / All Of This / If You Can't Save Me / Lovesongs / Deadeye / R&R
/ Sunset / Higher Wall / Someone Like Jesus / Inheritance / 225

Wolverhampton - June 2002

Better Than Them / Aimless Desire / Stoned, Fired And Full Of Grace / Turn
Away / Home / Tales Of The Road / Heroes / Headlights / Ballad Of Bodmin
Pill / Lurhstaap / Snelsmore Wood / You Weren't There / The Attack / These
Words / Stranger / All Of This / If You Can't Save Me / Lovesongs / Deadeye
/ R&R / Green & Grey / Higher Wall / Someone Like Jesus / Gimme Shelter /
Inheritance /225

I know you've got more exciting things to look forward to tonight, but once
post-tour depression sets in, (trust me, I'm there now...), you'll want
something to get you out of the house and what have you got to lose other
than a couple of hours of one evening??

... and if you hate it - you can come back & diss my opinion to the list - =
I
can take it...

Jane

Thanks, Jane.

You reckon it's worth checking out? I mean, I somewhat doubt they'll kick
into "51st State" and/or "I Love the World" or "Here Comes the War" or
"Vengeance." Or will they?

Just Justin Sullivan & Dean White, (the latter plays keyboards in the full
band, but ably adds guitar & vocals to the two-piece).

Couldn't believe it when I spotted this:

sin-=E9
150 Attorney St. (212-388-0077) Nov. 8: New Model Army.

They haven't been here since about `94 at the latest, I'd imagine
(and that was at the Limelight). Sin-=E9 is a tiny little place. Might this b=
e
the paried-down NMA you lot were briefly discussing? Just Justin and Joolz
or something?

Curious.
