I thought Democracy was a bit of a return to form after the disappointing 'Pandemonium' album.

Savage Freedom, Another Bloody Election and the title track are incredibly satisfying. Some poo on there as well tho.

I wonder from all the criticism if perhaps the Joke themselves have disowned the record. Can't see why they would though. I'll take a 'Pilgrimage' over a 'You'll Never Get To Me' any day.

Production is a bit poor but that's becoming the sign of a good KJ album.

Geordie was in far more inventive form on that record also.

Reading the list for sometime now, I got the impression that
"democracy" seems to be one of the most hated kj album ever.
Actually I can't remember reading anything (except how awful "lanterns
o hope" is - to which I kind of agree *g*) about that album on the
list at all. I can't understand why nobody seems to like it,
allthought I have to admit that this was my first kj album. I
completely fell in love with it since listening to it for the first
time and can't stop since then.

So, just to make sure, is there anybody out there who actually *likes*
the democracy-album? What's so bad about it?

rawside *hoping to hear just one democracy song at the berlin gig*
