Look, I apologize for this -- and many other -- OT discussions. Cliff,=20=

you know I love ya, but imposing a "NO OT EVER" policy is postively=20
Talibanesque. To kick a very dead horse, imagine going to a party and=20
only being allowed to discuss one, solitary topic. It's draconian.

Regardless of any political/religious/ethical/aesthetic differences=20
among all the members of the Gathering, I doubt there's a solitary=20
individual among us who doesn't regard Killing Joke as the=20
unquestionable priority of the list. But, y'know, how many times can we=20=

debate certain *ON* topic subjects like "OUTSIDE THE GATE: Crap or=20
Not?" or "Who is a better skinsman? BPF or Atkins or Animal from=20
Dr.Teeth & the Electric Mayhem?"  I think a little OT is fine. It also=20=

aptly demonstrates what a vast reach Killing Joke spans. For example,=20
until these recent weeks, I never in a million years would have=20
expected as many hardline Right-Wing Hawks and former evangelical=20
christians to count themselves as fans of Killing Joke. It's a=20
testament to the band's appeal. I also personally do find it=20
fascinating to hear what the cross-section of folks has to say on a=20
variety of subjects. While Peter West and Culture Virus and Jester Joe=20=

and myself and many others may have wildly different opinions on the=20
State of the World, we all come together as fans of Killing Joke. I=20
think that's interesting, myself.

Obviously, some discussions carry on too long or get too snipey and=20
personal. While the entertainment value of these sorts of discussions=20
can be high (though not while you're involved in one, I can tell you=20
that), I can understand how it could become a bit of a mailbox-clogging=20=

bore to have to sift through them. So, apologies for that. But=20
declaring a Fatwa on OT posts seems a bit narrow to me.

But, y'know, what the fuck do I know anyway? I'm a scarred hypocritcal=20=

demagogue who uses the Bible as a doorstop.
