第18回SVJENラウンドテーブル「起業2.0！」

起業家および起業を予定している皆さん！SVJENのラウンドテーブルでは、日本人起
業家や起業を志望する方々への支援を目的として、毎回起業に関連するテーマを決
め、そのテーマを中心とした討論会を通じて起業家同士の交流を深める会を行ってき
ました。今回は趣向を変え、具体的な主題を設定せず、起業に関する幅広いテーマを
自由にディスカッションする「起業2.0！」を開催します。定員は20名限定！加えて
SVJENのボードメンバーの面々が多数参加しますので、膝を交えての濃密な起業家
ネットワーキングとなる貴重な機会です。シリコンバレーで奮闘する日本人起業家の
仲間同士で、日々の思いを熱く語り合いましょう！是非ふるってご参加ください。

長嶺　安政在サンフランシスコ総領事が、６月２日（月）に世界問題評議会におい
て、日本で開催されるG8サミットの環境問題に対する日本の取組に
ついての講演を行います。

The Consul General of Japan in San Francisco, Yasumasa Nagamine, will be
giving a talk at the World Affairs Council on Monday, June 2nd at 6:00pm on
Japan's Presidency on the Summit of Eight this year.  For more information
please see the brief write-up below.

The World Affairs Council is proud to welcome Consul General Yasumasa
Nagamine for a discussion on the upcoming Group of Eight (G8) Summit in
Hokkaido, Japan. Comprised of the eight leading industrialized nations, the
annual G8 Summit provides the leaders of these nations with the opportunity
to freely and vigorously exchange opinions on a variety of issues facing the
global community. Mr. Nagamine will discuss Japan's efforts to address
global environmental issues, highlighting Japan's 'Cool Earth 50' proposal,
an initiative to half global emissions by 2050 and create an effective
framework beyond 2012. Mr. Nagamine will also touch on development issues
including the Millennium Development Goals.
