[Scons-users] Is it possible to invoke "make" from scons file?

Hi , I'm planning to invoke  a shell script from a builder of scons file. In the shell script, it will invoke  "make" to perform libraries weaving process through linux.
Is it possible to have a hook in scons to invoke such "make "operation? Any example I can take a look?
