[Scons-users] caching build parameters

Hi Jason,

thanks for confirming that I haven't missed anything. My quick and dirty
workaround is to use wrapper functions in my build infrastructure to
declare variables and options.
That way I can distinguish between public and non-public variables, and
build my own help message. While that works reasonably well, I think it
would be better if SCons itself supported that use-case. Perhaps I'll
prepare a patch when I get some time...
