Hey,
I get linux2 for sys.platform and
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/default/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl:/home/<user>/.custom/:/home/<user>/.gem/ruby/2.2.0/bin
as $PATH.
A big thank you to all those who helped me solve this and the many other
issues I had.
