Start with 'sconsign .sconsign.dblite' -- that outputs a human-readable version of the sconsign db. Maybe just diff those after a couple of runs?

I've noticed recently that even after doing a build-that-does-nothing, our .sconsign.dblite files are slowly growing. not much, say 2%. I'm currently at a bit of a loss as to what is going on, but I'd have thought if you did nothing, the file size shouldn't change.
