I once used it, but reverted back to "Execute shell" quite fast. The SCons
plugin allows you to specify targets and some options for a single command,
but that's it. In our build, we rely on environment variables to be set and
some other stuff. Just writing everything as a shell script is much more
powerful.

Maybe it has evolved since then, but we are happy with "Execute shell"
sections in our job definition.
