This message may seem highly technical, but what he's saying is that
you can differentiate between matching segments of DNA that are "IBD"
(identical by descent - from a common ancestor) or "IBS" (identical by
state - just coincidentally the same) by testing near relatives.  

Unlike Y-DNA STR testing, the results of which are clear and
straightforward for each individual, the FamilyFinder test results are
more difficult to interpret, but their meaning becomes clearer the
more near family members you test.  It will help you to 1)
differentiate between segments that IBD and IBS, and 2) it will help
you to "triangulate" on which segments came from the father's side of
the family and which from the mother's side.

The FF test is at such a discount, I've taken this opportunity to
purchase several of them for key cousins.
