That's from the "Dad Phonebook" school of domain name design.  Dad's
opinion was that a business name should be self-explanatory when one
opens it up in the phonebook, i.e. CheapPlumber or some such.  So
originally I was "3DProgrammer," which was self-explanatory enough.
When I decided I didn't want that typecast anymore, I went with the
self-explanatory "Indie Game Design."  3DProgrammer had 2 advantages
though: (1) it was alphabetically 1st, (2) it's probably a stronger
trademark than Indie Game Design.  But I haven't gotten around to doing
a logo or a trademark for Indie Game Design anyways.  Got some concept
sketches, but somehow it's lacking oomph, and I don't have any digital
art skills.  So, more barriers of boring labor to overcome, someday.
