[kj] Rourke

Antoni Adamiak at one point forwarded the article about Rourke being in KJ
for three days and then fired, or so the attached article says, for being
"too miserable." (It's the article Alex Smith mentions in this thread.) I
feel bad for Rourke, who also did a stint in The Pretenders as bassist.
Dying at 59 from pancreatic cancer seems a particularly awful way to go.
Not that there's any good way to go when cancer's involved. My
understanding is pancreatic cancer can be especially rapid.

If that's Rourke on bass on that "Beautiful Dead" version Rob C. mentions,
that's a great version indeed. Too bad, as with Hooky, it didn't work out
for longer, though then we would not have had the return of Paul Raven, I
guess.

I've attached the article in the interests of, well, just seeing what it
said, though now the piece seems pretty glib and shitty. I don't know Andy
Rourke's side of the story with his brief involvement with KJ but I'm sure
he has one. Clipping via Antoni Adamiak.
