Initial listen.
I like it more than Lords of Chaos BUT
As is often the case last several albums, song is a too long.  And reason I say that is the verse > bridge > chorus part is cool. But by third time it starts to weaken its impact.
Thinking back to EDaVRE the length was much longer but there would be a journey that seemed to have quite a few parts, or at least dramatic impact moments. It was not intro (only at beginning and then used as outro) > Verse > (in this case) bridge > Chorus X Repeat x3.
Regardless, this may be one of the better mixed songs and everyone is spot on.
Grade: B - it didn’t blow me away but it’s not a skip over song.

It's the best verse I've heard in any song in the last few years.

Geordie slaps you in the face, with his guitar, and tells you it's time to wake up.

The eerie (four note, wrong note!) synth reminds you that you are in a new, strange place..

The subtle, casual, vocal melody and lyrics start out with private, personal, "lockdown" anxiety and cares, like a processing process, after the fact (which no other group of musicians would DARE SAY OUT LOUD! in the current climate.. And then they go further..)

The drums!  The drums..  The fills are not drum fills.  They're emphasis of the whole thing, like an irate, convinced, finger in your sternum..

And Youth is just, solidly, holding down the fort. Keeping things in perspective..

I love it.  Two thumbs up.

These older boys can still HUNT! and gather..
