Staged was pretty much that vibe, so that was definitely part of the similarity.
Agreed, Jaz & Hooky were endearing... not a word often used about either of them, I'd guess.

lol!I’ve literally only ever seen the last minute or so of one, but yeah, that made me chuckle :)
I found their chat quite endearing and interesting. It was more like they'd accidentally streamed a private Zoom call than an interview. Made me smile how Andrew Perry seemed to forget he was there at all.

Some good moments, and an interesting footnote.  But some quite twee and tedious moments too.  And while I prefer Jaz singing to Jaz growling, the lyrics sound like OTG part two.
I'd love another Transmission album too, and ideally another tour...

Interesting.I’ve heard the tracks on YouTube and agree, promise and an important side note. I’m glad they’ve surfaced, but I won’t be buying the vinyl. A reconvene to take the project further would indeed be fabulous.
as an aside, I’d also like another Transmission album.

Did I spend $80? No…Maybe…probably. I give up. I also bought a few other things.Anyway.Was it worth the wait?  Not for $80. It is cool and after reading the linear notes it really piques the interest of what was and what could have been. This is a teaser of what is not released. Whether that is the original material (which I’d prefer) or the future collaboration. How this came together is very interesting. It’s what I expected. Demo ideas at high quality. This release certainly backs up the logic of “if Killing Joke could have only…”. Killing Joke have had their structural issues over the last few decades and this release shows that when they can come together and be, somewhat, focused great things are on the horizon. This is a side note to the history of Killing Joke. Like Courtald Talks, Murder Inc., etc. And possibly an important one. But only time will tell. And by telling is if they actually reconvene to produce a proper album. If they want to really want to do this there is really no more excuses not to.  Chris,Detroit  From: Gathering <gathering-bounces at misera.net> on behalf of Thomas Bell <planetary at socal.rr.com>

Just under $80 US hurts though for a single 10” record, but I’m a dumb KJ completest.  I would have also bought the “Live In Berlin” vinyl but for whatever bizarre reason, Cadiz wouldn’t ship it to the US. The KJ÷93 songs are decent, basically guitar, bass, synth and vox with some laid back percussion/drums w/no credit who’s playing but it could just be sampled drums.  Music is mostly mellow, with a middle eastern bent much like “Jana” etc.  Geordie’s tone is almost unrecognizable - tasteful rhythm mostly without the Geordie crunch.  Peter Hook’s chorus-y bass is the most recognizable thing about these tracks.   Jaz’ vox alternate between soft and early cookie monster on the same track. Basically a better take of the kind of music from Outside The Gate. Someone put the songs on YouTube, I imagine they’ll be pulled soon….. https://youtu.be/PWGbPEmwQYc https://youtu.be/nel0CsXW4x4 https://youtu.be/Dt_6-ZisHQk   _______________________________________________
