Do you know what’s on the new picture disc releases? I know there’s no extra tracks but wasn’t sure if they are the remastered versions.

The LTEV first 7 album remasters are simply upgraded remasters and *not* remixes with the exception of Brighter Than A Thousand Suns which is and is a vastly superior mix to the original LP version. Fire Dances, Revelations and Night Time vinyl releases sound arguably better on the LTEV remasters then the original albums, and all the CD reissues unquestionably sound better than their original CD counterparts. It's one of the few times with an artist that reissues/remasters are really done right. However I do personally prefer the more raw punch of original first UK vinyl issues of the first two albums. The big deal with the remasters is both the vinyl and CD remasters contain bonus tracks, especially Night Time. The CDs have more bonus tracks then the vinyl releases. Also, the live EP "Ha!" is rounded out with the studio B-sides Sun Goes Down, Birds Of A Feather and Flock The B Side.

The vinyl reissues have become hard to find and in most cases, quite pricey, but the CDs are still easy and cheap to get and imo, well worth having even if you have the old EG CD releases.

wasn't this a remaster and not just a reissue ? we're not all the let them eat vinyls remastered ? specifically I'm wondering about fire dances.
