I hadn't heard of any of these six bands, so I check them all out. Sounds like a new genre we could call angst rock. And there are you sure a girl band isn't really the fall?

Idles brilliant album. Fontains DC superb, especially live, but LP sounds at tad flat to my ears.

The other ones I'd add are:

John - Out Here on The Fringes
The Murder Capital - When I Have Fears
Life - Picture Of Good Health
Girl Band - The Talkies

The John LP best of year for me. Seeing them a couple of times over coming months.

Any of yee get any decent albums during the year? Was not a bad year as far as good albums, IDLES and Fontaines D.C., my two standouts, but been some other good stuff. Will list mine soon if anyone interested, but I'd be into hearing what others have to say.
