[kj] PledgeMusic box set is up

I am in the exact same boat. I want the packaging more then another version of the releases that I have numerous copies of. Headphones? I need those even less then the flight case. It still beats a cigar wrapper.  Anyone have a ballpark price of the US tickets?

Evidently, the headphones are made by a company called Ashdown. No information beyond that. I mean, are they monogramed or is there some unique design flourish? No clue.

Here's the thing: With a price tag like it has, this set is obviously intended for the completist fanboy, not the curious layperson. The problem therein is that you're talking about a demographic of folks in their 50's, probably, who already have 99% of the music on offer here. Personally speaking, I'm more romanced by the packaging and physical/visual extras (lyric book? artwork?). At this late stage of the proceedings, yet another mix or edit or live version of a certain track isn't necessarily going to get me to pony up $700 plus smackers. I'm having a very hard time rationalizing dropping that sort of cash, as disarmingly lovely as I'm sure the finished product is.  Might just have to settle for the CD version, and even that is a fairly weighty expenditure, all things considered.

No “HA!” live ep.  Several key b-sides (Democracy rooster mix, Wardance 2003, Penny Drops, etc) and previously unreleased tracks included on the 3 CD Singles set not included (The Beautiful Dead flexi version, Sixth Sun, etc).

I would bet heavily that the albums will eventually get an individual release.  I guess the upcoming re-release of Absolute Dissent next week will show whether the same bonus tracks will be included.  I am interested in the previously unheard stuff from the last 3 studio albums but not even to spring for this monster box set.
