I can see why the support band might want to do an honourable thing and try and put on a show for the fans, but for the promoters it's just another way to screw the fans.

 This has nothing to do with KJ, of course:
 
 
 The Soft Moon (a decent band) is trying to salvage their
 part of the US tour by playing some of the dates already
 scheduled as openers for KJ.
 
 
 In at least one instance (St. Paul), the promoter has not
 cancelled the existing show and is now promoting it as a
 Soft Moon gig.
 
 
 No cancellation = no refund.
 
 
 I would probably go see Soft Moon regardless, but not for
 $25 and now I have an extra three tickets I cannot use.
 
 
 I am working through this with the ticketing company
 (Ticketfly) and will let others know the result in case this
 happens elsewhere.
