Well done and congrats. I'm tired of everyone over-worshipping the cancer curing, famine relief, save the world kind of great guy that is Dave Grohl

Just to close the circle on this, the writer of the piece wrote back to me:
"A request for interview went unanswered but wanted to publicise the album/gig. Sorry, no disrespect was intended. Have taken down article and made further request via pr company.Such a great band.Again many apologiesMike”

I told him to always cite his sources …. and to re-think that line about Grohl.

I shot a nasty little note to them. But, y’know, whatever.
My original interview, lest I haven’t flogged this to death here: http://vassifer.blogs.com/alexinnyc/2006/03/interview_with_.html

The quotes about not being punk were taken (without credit, I might add) from the interview I conducted with Big Paul back in 2004.
People suck.

Our influences were beyond Punk." He mentions Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Yes and King Crimson.
The writer claims "the Killing Joke we know today were birthed" when "Dave Grohl guested behind the drumkit..." ???
