[kj] Gathering Digest, Vol 151, Issue 95 Lyrics..??

kevin patrickvieira at msn.com
Fri Oct 23 15:48:38 EDT 2015

Could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw no lyrics in the CD--
I spoke to Colesy after the gig tonight and he said there is a website on the CD
which appears to be www.kjpylon.com but the fucker doesn`t seem to be up

Maybe its all a ruse to get people to buy Jaz`s collected lyrics book????????
Anyway-stoked to be able to get smuggled in tonight-Thanks Mr Hassan and Mr + Mrs Hooligan!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else finding a weird digital "skip" at the 37 second mark of
"Apotheosis" on the Pledge download or on the cd?

And how about that break in "Panopticon" at around 04:15? I say this reverently, but I thought for a second my disc changer had flipped forward to the last Steven Wilson album. But then they start bashing away after 30 seconds and all is right with the world.

Don't get me wrong, I like SW; it was just a bit jarring.

 I like jarring.

I downloaded the lossless FLAC version of the deluxe album from Pledge this morning and agree Panopticon should have been on the regular version of the album. Some of the lyrics are hysterical ("All your friends, all your colleagues, how often you take a shit...") and like "Big Buzz," it's one of the few tracks that retains the white noise guitar fuzz of Geordies '02-'09 demos. In fact, I hear some of one of the '06 demoes in this track but not to the degree Big Buzz and it's respective demo.

The album is really growing on me. I know I was kind of down on it at least compared to the previous two albums a couple weeks ago after hearing the leak but I am really enjoying it with repeated listenings.

On the CD, I can't here anything out of the ordinary.

I mentioned it earlier, but is there lyrics on the pledge site somewhere?

Doesn?t appear to be.

Also, at least one person posted that he?s received the colored/lenticular vinyl already from Pledge.

Aye, so the CD notes say, but it's a short URL to their Pledge page and no
lyrics in sight. My aging, much abused ears are in need of some help : (
