Great, although I have a rose tinted view of possibly the best gig I have ever
been to with KJ in June 91 there. Has been through a few changes over the
years, but nice that it reopened as The Institute, fully refurbished.

The other week saw Leftfield at The Institute though and a fair sized venue,
intimate viewing balcony if that is your bag...beer prices are something like
£4.30 a pint, around average I guess these days at venues.

Located right near (over the road) from Birmingham Coach Station...there really
is not a lot else within the area pub wise...a pub attached to it, an Irish bar
just over the road and a little bit further away from the city is the pub The
Rainbow which I saw Nadine Shah play in a few months ago which seems quite a
nice pub just a ways from The Custard Factory independent shops which are also
worth a look.

Of course the newly renovated New Street Station is worth a look too.
