It was a hell of a thing to see so many people discuss the bands history whilst songs were played in their entirety. I don't know of any other 'rockumentary' that has had this format? Might be original?

It was how the same old clips were used, interspersed with images of the occult, old pixx and the boys sharing their lives that struck me. The time flew by. We needed it all to have such a big experience of the material in the specific way we did, which I think ultimately was to get as close to how we all feel and see the music as they could?

Also, most of us in the cinema and everyone on the screen had shared over 30 years and had grown. I thought as an autobiographical story of four men and their friends and supporters and fans, it did a great job of taking us on the journey they went on? Also with the huge panorama's of Egypt and New Zealand you get a real sense of where they went and what they did, and what it was like for them to be there?
All this intensity and Jeremy's mum, a lovely grounding mundane presence reminding us that we are all just a bunch of people! Jaz gurneying at the camera's and wearing too much eyeliner. I had the ultimate sensurround experience because I met him afterwards. Beats the Imax?

A little something for everyone who missed the gigs in the old days. Like me actually? :)

Never mind the doc, just watched that clip from the Q&A. Love the way Jaz sits there
almost shy and schoolboy-ish, then flows effortlessly from talking about his life to
babies being microchipped and FEMA camps. He's still got a bee in his bonnet about
that last one, then.

Why do people keep saying this?! It's just a documentary. It's not a

new album. You can watch hour upon hour of clips on YouTube.

We have discussed every album, single, b-side, video, artwork, side

project, tour, radio session, t-shirt, remix, demo, edit, version,

remaster, lyric, liner note, philosophy, meltdown, line-up, producer,

haircut, guitar, keyboard, tuning, unreleased track, record label,

interview, bootleg, influence... ad infinitum on the Gathering. Isn't

any documentary essentially going over old ground? Or does it contain

revelations?

I'm glad the guy has made it as a fitting summary of what the band is

about and I'm sure it would be an enjoyable experience to watch it but

I just can't get too excited about it, sorry.
