This is true to some extent, however it's no small thing: never again from the DVD release should any Gatherer find herself trying to hook an unsuspecting potential fan with mutterings about the sound of the earth vomiting, drastically reduced battery life in the King's chamber, "Come as You Are sounds like one of their songs", "well post-punk is a rather vague term" and other ungatherly distastefulness. Just hit play and let Jaz happen.

Surely that's worth a strident round of Harrumphs from the Gathering?

I still haven’t seen it, but -- in all fairness -- I believe “TD&RS” is invariably more aimed at the layperson, not the devout Killing Joke acolyte (who’ll go to see it anyway). Yes, we — The Gathering — are all versed on the minutia of Killing Joke, so perhaps the surprises and anecdotes (Iceland, the Pyramids, the Island, the rituals) won’t be news to us, but I’d imagine the main crux of the film is to explain the significance of the band to people who may not know that much about them. 

I’m still gagging to see it.
