I think Geordies guitar resonates beautifully of days yonder with tracks like 'Promobile"

When I say parties... just me and a few mates sat in a room, with me controlling the stereo.

30 years.. jesus christ. I have very fond memories of that time - I think every party
I went to throughout that year, Night Time was playing on a loop, LLB and Eighties
were all over the airwaves, and the band
were riding the crest of the wave, before it all went, well, you know.
And in total contrast to a lot of the indie band snobbishness at the time,
as in 'I don't want my favourite band to be discovered by the masses', I think
KJ fans were excited to see them hitting the mainstream/big time - I know I was,
if only because it raised the likelihood of them appearing on establishment TV shows
and Jaz enraging the nation in some way.
Although I never really liked the LP artwork... I found it a bit angsty, hamming it up.
In hindsight it was certainly a sign that egos were coming to the fore. The Das Boot thing is
interesting - what a metaphor for being in Killing Joke!
Have certainly never seen any other pics from that session - would like to now.
And good luck with the work situation Alex

According to most knowledgable sources, NIGHT TIME was released thirty years ago this month (although I can’t find an actual date).
I’ve always been curious as to the cover shoot. According to Big Paul, it was inspired by the film “Das Boot” … the claustrophobia of being on a submarine (although that’s purportedly a backdrop the gents are standing in front of).
I’d love to see the other outtakes from the photo session. Anyone ever reach out on that front?
