[kj] 30 years of NIGHT TIME

30 years.. jesus christ. I have very fond memories of that time - I think
every party
I went to throughout that year, Night Time was playing on a loop, LLB and
Eighties
were all over the airwaves, and the band
were riding the crest of the wave, before it all went, well, you know.
And in total contrast to a lot of the indie band snobbishness at the time,
as in 'I don't want my favourite band to be discovered by the masses', I
think
KJ fans were excited to see them hitting the mainstream/big time - I know I
was,
if only because it raised the likelihood of them appearing on establishment
TV shows
and Jaz enraging the nation in some way.
Although I never really liked the LP artwork... I found it a bit angsty,
hamming it up.
In hindsight it was certainly a sign that egos were coming to the fore. The
Das Boot thing is
interesting - what a metaphor for being in Killing Joke!
Have certainly never seen any other pics from that session - would like to
now.
