Didn't Jaz also slap BPF's wife around the time of OTG? Maybe he thought she was in Motorhead?

Jaz did slap their drummer and Raven and Lemmy laughed!

If there was any animosity, I’m relatively certain it was considered ancient history some time ago. I believe Motorhead were here in NYC around the same time the `Joke were here a few tours ago, and I do remember hearing that all four of them went to the Motorhead gig. It’s the least they could do, really — seeing as “Implant” and “Implosion” are basically Motorhead songs (in a good way).

I am reminded of a nearly identical situation with the Clash, with whom the Joke also shared rehearsal space — mutual antipathy until years later, Jaz recounted an anecdote about getting blind drunk with Strummer and patching everything up.

I’m relatively positive the Joke and Lemmy were on good terms.

A really terrible loss. I read he'd discovered he had cancer only TWO days ago!? Fuck.

In any event, it's not entirely irrelevant to Killing Joke. I know a lot of folks, likeme, actually really enjoyed hearing Killing Joke explore their more "Motorhead" side this past decade, with Jaz's vocals often sometimes in the past 15 years or so being compared to Lemmy's on tracks like "Endgame" or "Implosion," which are almost like Motorhead cover songs.

In any event, Youth posted about him on Facebook. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a viral influence that Lemmy and Motorhead exerted on KJ. In fact, I'd say it's probable given how much metal stuff was always in the wings with KJ's sound.
