[kj] Happy Weekend Gatherers

You'd make a great corporate manager:

'Er, I'm off to a *meeting* guys, why don't you do something interesting and
team-buildery while I'm away. Brendan: write it up in a report (which no one
will read, ever) for the company newsletter (which no one will read, ever).
Oh, and we need *pointless, boring task* completed by *ridiculous deadline*
or else *life will continue as normal*'

Hi Kevin, everyone moved en masse to an isolated island to escape the 2012
end of the World , we just spend our days prancing about on the beach at
nightime , lighting fires, wearing animal skins and playing rhythms out of
time and in the daytime all the Emos practice permaculture and grow food
whilst all the lads are building a large pyramid for a final resting place
for the almighty one, as Jaz is now known .
To get directions for our Island, you need to get a gems of power on vinyl
and play it backwards........and all will be revealed

Glad to hear back from all of you. I remember Javier child had died, so I'm
sure that changed his whole life. And with Jester gone (and newer social
medias), I wasn't sure how long this group would stay together.

I have been keeping up with KJ since leaving the group in the 2000's. I
have made Chicago USA my headquarters for seeing them live (Dec 2010 & April
2013 - missed the 2008 & 2011 tours), as they play a real small club every
time there - it makes it so much more personal. Got several of the live box
sets from the past few years too. Though because of the Gathering, my wife
and I ventured to London to see the 2005 Gathering show, our first & only
time out of this country. Definitely still a highlight in our KJ fan
history.

Thanks,

Kev

This place is quieter than it was
because I think most of it's been said!

Where's Pete West when you (don't) need him?
