Regarding guitar tone, someone mentioned that Geordie used a Fender
Stratocaster at some point or briefly. I won't pretend for a second that I
have any significant talent at guitar, but I know what I hear about tone. I
have a Mexican Telecaster with after-market "traditional" pickups. Those
sounds compare in a friendly way to Gibson SG. And an Epiphone hollow body
which is way different. Stratocaster, really? - when, and why or how?
Although I think some of you tone hounds lose the forest for the trees, I'm
always curious about these fine bits.
