Yeah, spot on. The whole interview is fascinating (even - speaking as a non-muso - the bits about guitars). And definitely agreed on the final section about getting everyone together for making the next record.

Not sure about this bit though:

"You’ve got a palette of your own songs and some of them work. At certain times you’ve just got to read the room, and try and play it differently every night."

...how about varying the set-list a bit more instead?!

Like what he says at the end. The last album feels like that to me. Not organic enough. Impressive but doesn't have the longevity that the early stuff has.
