It doesn't appear BPF made the trip as Youtube video shows Jason Bowld drumming again.

Iggy Pop and Killing Joke put Lokerse Parties under steam

The Lokerse Feasts spent yesterday two veterans energetic on stage. Frontman Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke post punks danced and preached like a mad shaman, while Iggy Pop with the foam on the lips of the masses played during the concert of The Stooges. Twin front men, who remain both born rasentertainers.
The Lokerse Feasts have a successful opening weekend behind us. Where Friday the sweltering beats of Tinie Tempah and Pitbull ruled, had the weather yesterday a perfect festival weather we provide and loud guitars. The heat came out of the banal post-hardcore mess that Enter Shikari (* 1/2) is called, but was brought by two pioneers crass with separate nicknames: Jaz and Iggy.

The post-punks Killing Joke (****) were like a bunch of hungry wolves on stage in Lokeren. Frontman Jaz Coleman (53) spoke to the public only once after 'Requiem', an opener like molten lead. Killing Joke then popped a dozen songs about the Great Kaai, at an unprecedented pace and with a burning intensity.

'Love Like Blood', with those tight disco beat which were woven around thin guitars and vocals, was the first highlight. Coleman was a fit like a dancing fool and preach, arms in the air, while drummer Paul Ferguson rush pounded by his sheets during 'Wardance' and 'Rapture'. Bassist Youth Saturday had a colorful Hawaiian shirt and a golf cap, but with that sonic bass on his knees he also shone nevertheless punk. The boundless energy and groove that 'Sun Goes Down', 'Eighties' and 'The Wait' were brought, gave you the idea that this group only came out of the starting blocks. With a swirling 'Pandemonium' you knew Killing Joke much mileage has listed too. 35 years after its creation

After the merciless demolition was hardly alone. Because Iggy and The Stooges (*** 1/2) provided a second sonic attack. Iggy Pop (66) on doctor's orders may not stage diving, and limping like a lame grandfather, but he was still our dog. The Stooges were eight years ago on the Lokerse Parties, but then lived guitarist Ron Asheton yet. Now there with 'Ready To Die' a new album and plays James Williamson axeman of service. That caused a lot of repartee. 'Search and Destroy', with a tight guitar intro, was the generator. The singer constantly searched the edge of the stage. 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' we never know play. At such a fast pace And during "Fun House" were fifty fans stage erected. Who all wanted to briefly touch the man with the tanned skin. When the public dropwise dripping weather, bassist Mike Watt was literally rape. Amplifier are Iggy grinned, and saw that it was good. The singer, who recently claimed never to have felt a punk was still full of swagger and after-tonight-should-I-die attitude on stage.

The Stooges played a clenched set of one hour. After 'The Passenger' they came back once for 'Penetration'. After Iggy called "everyone to keep. Even the pretty girls in Lokeren!" To then buttoning his pants and hard as nails 'Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell' in turn. A dirty wink, a generous smile on the face conjured.

Beady Eye has his performance at the Lokerse Feasts Monday canceled due to illness of guitarist Gem Archer. The band around singer Liam Gallagher is replaced by White Lies.
