Well, I think we've all seen KJ fluff up tracks before (e.g. the momentarily chaotic Communion during the first reunion gigs) and Jaz's rants can be quite hit or miss, so it's not exactly a vitriol-fuelled anti-KJ rant...

Jim.

Subject: [kj] Kerrang! (Kerrcrap!) review of KJ Forum gig

Bit of a shite review from Kerrang! the UK rock magazine. (Its only hard copy not on their website). They did a similar review of Killing Joke's Roundhouse concert last year writing about KJ fans' "middle aged spreads" and Geordie just "coming off a shift on a World War 2 submarine".

"KERRANG! APRIL 6TH 2013

VETERANS CELEBRATE THE END OF THE WORLD ALL OVER AGAIN

KILLING JOKE confirm your worst fears. So say the flashing screens flanking the Forum's stage tonight. It's true - the post-punk legends have used their music, including last year's MMXII, to shine the torches of their fury upon the political, economic and environmental turmoil they've witnessed during their 34-year career. But if your worst fear is that this undertaking has worn down Jaz Coleman and co's edge, then fear not. There are other problems, though. It's never a good idea to fluff your opening song - particularly if it also happens to be your most famous - but Requiem is momentarily reduced to a mass of ill-timed drum-poundings and confused glances. While that could do with more rehearsing, Jaz' mad-eyed diatribes could perhaps do with a little less. "Soon, half of the UK's children will be below the poverty line. That's right...", he replies to a seemingly nonexistent prompt,   "...Money Is Not Our God!" It's a segue that's as smooth as
pebbledashed face cream but, thankfully, there's plenty of that roughness reserved for the magnificent Wardance, Asteroid and Pandemonium. So, while this is a jolting assault of a performance, it's not quite the killer one it could have been."

Killing Joke wouldn't be the same without Jaz's diatribes!
