[kj] Down By The River CD/DVD Opinion

Got my 2 cd/1 dvd set last week about 45 days after I ordered it through Pledge.  A month and a half is a *really* long time to get something that's already been produced, imo (I waited until others started getting their orders fulfilled before buying, due to KJ's ...er, business model).

Overall, it's a decent if overpriced set.  I find I prefer the somewhat similar Hammersmith Apollo Instant Live set as far as setlist, performance and sound quality though.  The band just seem sharper on the Apollo set and Geordie is a bit more upfront in the mix.  Still, DBTR has it's pros, they're factory pressed silver cds and dvd and the sleeve art is probably the best cover KJ have had since they got back together in '03.  I kind of wish I had sprung for the now OOP vinyl but I haven't had a lotta luck with records being sent from the UK to US the last couple'a years.
