never trusted vinyl since my copy of airport by the motors warped inside a house with opaque windows

Make your own. Acquire appropriately sized plastic bags and shrink-wrap it onto the record (use a blowdryer for better results). Protects the vinyl like nothing else and lasts forever. Good luck, and post back how it goes.
