[kj] OT--vinyl care

I would add that you want to avoid significant variations in both temperature and humidity. Fluctuations in either will warp the sleeve and the vinyl over time. I keep mine in a cool, dry basement with a dehumidifier.

But as CG said: use sleeves, keep away from heat sources / sunlight and store upright, never flat.

Get sleeves for all the albums, and storing them in book shelves is the way to go, best if away from direct sun light and heat sources. Make sure that the records are stored vertically.

This is quite a dumb question, but:
I just transferred my vinyl collection from a large plastic chest to book shelves. I don't play the records often, but want to keep the collection, most of which is not in plastic sleeves
(although some of the Joke stuff is) in good shape.
Any suggestions for what I should do? Leave it as is? Cover it with something? Get sleeves for all the albums? Just wondering

I agree, considering that "All that I wanted" is probably their most known song (and the video is shown on VH1 Classic)

Cherry Red records re-released several artists on CD in the past that were hard to find on vinyl (unless you had the $$$, and plenty of it)

I've just sent an inquiry to Cherry Red about it. Let's hope they answer ;)

It's strange that 1985 self-titled album (or their previous German language debut "Dog Is Born") have *never* been issued on CD
anywhere in the world.
